Birth Attendant Seminar

400 Hour Program

Our Level One class starts in January 2026. This is a 40 hour doula course that includes 8 hours of volunteer work.

THE SEMINAR

Our 400 hour program is made up of many different courses offered online, in person, and in an apprentice or volunteer role. In this program, you will learn how to creatively and intuitively care for the new family, the newborn, and most of all, the new mother.

We will:

  • explore what it means to accompany women during the childbearing year

  • learn and unlearn the art and science of birth attendance

  • uncover your unique role in birth work & how to follow your path

  • learn through mentorship

Basic Doula Care course is a prerequisite for the seminar. The course will start in January 2026. Class is online, Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Class runs from January 7, 2026 to April 8, 2026.

The price for this course is $800, payable by December 15, 2025. This price includes membership in our closed community and access to the class recordings and resources.

The course will be limited to 12 students, for a more intimate and personal experience.

Travelling Workshops

I will visit your group and host a one, two, or three day workshop.

Weekdays or weekends; your choice!

I am available anytime, depending on where I’m traveling to. Here are some ideas:

THE WORKSHOPS

These workshops are for mothers-to-be, with or without their partners, and they can also be useful for family or friends who may be attending a homebirth.

We will:

  • answer YOUR questions about your birth plans and dream

  • give you a chance to explore your concerns

  • celebrate women and birth!

The price per day is $500. You are expected to provide a space (a living room is fine!), and meals, accommodation and planning is collaborative.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The Mysteries Birth School grew from a unique program I’ve been teaching since 2003. In 2011, I published “The Birth Conspiracy”, a book that has been used by hundreds of pregnant mamas and doulas, and is used as a text in several other training programs. I am working on a second edition!

I have been teaching doulas since 2003. My classes are intense, intimate, fun, and challenging.

One unique aspect about my program is that I am always available for you, whether you’re attending as a doula or a Birth Attendant. I am there for you to consult about the women you’re supporting, and I am always available for a storytelling debrief after a birth.
