I believe that women have the power to do almost anything they set their minds to.
That includes deciding where and with whom they want to give birth. It includes taking responsibility for themselves, and for the others they care about. I don’t believe it is my duty or right to tell people what to do, so if I’m attending your birth, you’re not going to hear me giving you directions. If you’re my student, I will gently guide you, but I don’t teach school.
I believe that if we are going to change birth paradigms, we have to change other paradigms. I try to make my course affordable and accessible to all, so that Undisturbed Birth isn’t just for the rich. When I’m working with a pregnant mama, I have created a unique payment agreement where the family doesn’t pay me until after the birth of their child. That way, no one is thinking about money during our relationship. I believe that family is important (what is family? That’s up to you to decide for yourself!). And I believe that we are not just bodies. There is a psychic, spiritual, magical part to all of us.
